What is a paraphilia?

But it is not always easy to avoid those impulses. There are even cases in which it can become a mental disorder. In this case, the person thinks about the cat all the time and sometimes is not able to stop their sexual impulses with the animal.
2- Misophilia
It is a disorder that causes the person who suffers from it to obtain pleasure when smelling or having contact with dirty clothes. Depending on the type of paraphilia, pleasure can be obtained with all types of clothing or only with used underwear.
Although it is a paraphilia considered rare, in some ways we can define it as more common than we think. There is even a used underwear market that is very successful. This shows that this paraphilia is more common than is usually thought at first. What is clear is that misophilia is usually much more common in men than in women. The underwear of their partners is what causes that excitement.
3- Formicophilia
Through this paraphilia, pleasure is obtained through contact with small animals. They are normally placed in erogenous zones to obtain extra pleasure. Of course, due to their size, they are only placed in the areas and the sexual act is not performed.
If we analyze the data, we see that within this paraphilia the ant is usually the most used small animal, but other animals such as worms, bees or frogs are also used. In this case, the excitement is obtained when the small animal walks or even bites in the erogenous zones. The objective is always the same, to achieve a different sexual stimulation. Of course, each person can get that excitement with a different animal, remembering that it should not be confused with zoophilia.
4- Hyphephilia
This type of paraphilia occurs when a person obtains pleasure when they have or use an object that is foreign to them. In many cases, clothing is usually the most common, but it can also be hair, skin...
To achieve pleasure what is done is to achieve friction with the other person's object. Normally, the object is passed through different parts and ends up passing through the erogenous zones.
5- Capnolagnia
In this case, pleasure is always obtained through a smoking person or seeing how that person smokes. When trying to understand why this happens, several factors come into play. One of them is how women smokers are perceived, often associated with innocence or sensuality, while men can be influenced by the idea of absolute masculinity.
Another aspect that may influence this fetish is the growing consideration of the act of smoking as something taboo or transgressive. It is becoming less and less common to see someone smoking calmly.
Some argue that since the Anti-Smoking Law was implemented in Spain, especially in cities, it is more common to see people smoking quickly and compulsively. This restriction may have influenced how smoking is perceived and practiced. Furthermore, the popularization of alternatives such as aerothermal heating as a heating method instead of traditional heat pumps may also be having an impact on the perception of the act of smoking.
6- Amomaxia
We consider it rare, although it is one of the best known. In this case, the pleasure is obtained when having sex in a car. Of course, it is important to differentiate between people who do not have the resources to have sexual relations in other places and people who really get excited when it comes to having that type of relationship.
Paraphilia occurs when the person really feels satisfaction from having sexual relations in the parked car. Additionally, some people increase the pleasure when the car is parked and other people can see the sexual intercourse. And in that case the excitement increases due to the risk. Sometimes some people even seek the maximum possible danger to increase that excitement and degree of pleasure.
7- Technosexualism
It is a paraphilia that is in full development. In this case we can see how the attraction to robots makes pleasure easier to achieve. With the help of them at their different levels they try to seek pleasure.
There is also the option of trying to obtain pleasure through spending data. Some people seek to download data for the simple reason of feeling pleasure. It is a less common variable, but it exists.
8- Asphyxiophilia
Sometimes we can define it as a type of masochism. In this case they seek partial strangulation to achieve a lower flow of oxygen and consequently achieve more pleasure. The problem is that it is really risky, which is why many people have already died for this reason.
